• I’m Running WP 2.7.1 and I’m having some problems using Microsoft clients with the Atom Publishing Protocol. I’m testing Windows Live Writer 2009 (14.0.806.206) and Word 2007 SP1. I’ve run a test site through APE to see if there are any errors and APE was apparently able to post, delete, etc without a problem. In Word 2007 I try to configure my site using Atom and it lets me enter a uri and i use https://www.myblog.com/wp-app.php as the endpoint which worked in APE, but Word doesn’t allow me to enter credentials. When it tries to connect it says Word Can Not Register Your Account. Fine, I try to register an account using Live Writer. When registering I’m able to enter a URI as I did above, but Live Writer actually lets me put in a username and password. Live writer apparently manages to download the blog theme, supporting files, and other messages appear. When publishing I get, Invalid Server Response – The response to the blogger.getUserBlogs method received from the blog server was invalid. Invalid response document returned from the XmlRpc Server. I’ve googled this and I’ve seen posts where it happens with posting using xmlrpc, but there doesn’t appear to be much information on APP posting. Has anyone else experienced this with WLW or Word 2007 and APP?
