• Something strange is going on with my atom feed.

It shows up just fine if I type in the address as a .php extension:

    https://www.bearingdrift.com/wp-atom.php

However, if I use its alternative:

    https://www.bearingdrift.com/feed/atom

I get an error message: “ERROR: atom is not a valid feed template”

Any idea what’s going on and how to resolve this?

Additionally, while my information seems to show up quickly in my feed, it can take over two hours to be read by aggregators. Is this related to the “atom” feed problem listed above?

  • I’ve got the same problem. How did you manage to fix it?

    I didn’t.

But, I did burn a feed at feedburner and download the feedburner plugin. After downloading the plugin, I elected to have all feeds direct to feedburner.

    That seems to have helped.

As far as the original problem though…nothing worked.

I’m still having the same problem.

    https://….com/feed
-> ERROR: rss2 is not a valid feed template

    https://….com/wp-rss2.php
-> is working, but now he decided not to include none of the posts, just the pages.

    https://….com/wp-rss2.php?cat=9
-> should give me all the posts of that category, but it just shows the same thing: all my pages, no posts…

The last link used to work… Don’t know what happened. I recently upgraded to 2.5.1, but not sure if that is the problem.

Oh yes. I already tried to switch to the default theme. But that gives the same error.

Do you have Podpress installed? If so, this MAY be the cause:
