• I’m using the Atahualpa theme.
It’s difficult to use when you’re used to hand coding.

I need to add a 3rd sidebar to the right, but have no idea where I should stick the code.

  • Atahualpa allows for special widget areas … and their help forum is full of ideas for doing things like this … the link to their forum is near the top of their options page.

    Yes, but it’s paid support.
I looked and looked, but I couldn’t find it.
There has to be a simple trick to it, but you can’t hand code anything. With Atahualpa you have to find what stupid little box it goes in and God forbid you get it wrong.

The forum is back to free support for all but still has Gold and Diamond forums for added features. And yes you could just ad a 3 celled widget area to a text widget which would give you three sidebars. See ATO>Add New Widget Areas for instructions and syntax.

    Thank you.
I went to ATO>Add New Widget Areas
It told me to put the code here: Style & edit CENTER COLUMN: Put the code into ANY of the text areas EXCEPT the first one, named “Center column style”.
I go there and the ONLY text area is: “Center column style” LOL
Then it tells you to hard code it into the index file.

*Sigh* You know, all I really want to do is take the template I have {{ https://stuckathomemom.com/ }} and make the first post a full post and all the posts after that an excerpt.

I think the only way I’m going to get Atahualpa to works is to go back several version.
But I shall check out the forum again, thank you.

You can put the new widget code in a text widget you put in the sidebar. That will give you as many sidebars as you want.
