• I purchased the Astra theme and Elementor plugins a year ago. I never used them as I had created a large website using Divi, and could not use elementor without having to completely redo all of the pages.

    I should have requested a refund at the time, but being extrenely busy, I never got around to it.

    Yesterday, lo and behold, I was billed for renewal on both products. I immediately notified them that I was not using the theme or plugin and requested that they refund the payments they took from my Paypal account.

    I received an email from them stating that they notified me 2 weeks prior about the renewals (no they didn’t – I would have acted on that immediately had they contacted me). They are now stating that they cannot refund because I didn’t cancel in the 2 week period since the fictitious renewal notice supposedly arrived.

    This is just a money grab. There is no reason that they cannot return the payments ($69 and $59 USD) other than greed. This is absolutely unacceptable.

    I am Elvina from team Brainstorm Force and I am sorry to hear that you aren’t happy with how things turned up here.

    I completely understand your point of view. I would like to mention that auto-renewals are a part of our annual product plans and this goes with all purchases made at our store except the ones where users get in touch and cancel subscriptions.

    To avoid sudden payments, we make sure every user is sent a notice 2 weeks prior to the renewal date so that they get a chance to opt-out of it. Since we take such steps and are transparent enough about payments, we do not process refunds on renewals.

    However, considering this as an exceptional case and seeing that the products weren’t used at all, we have initiated a refund that has been successfully processed and confirmed through email.
