assorted dukapress problems

  • was looking for a good webshop plugin and foudn this one.
    it has pay by EFT (bank transfer) and allows optional user registration.
    thats is all I really need. open for suggestions (other plugins welcome – tried zingiri – looks great but not easy to use)

    Problems found so far:

    – even when editing pages or normal posts, the Dukapress product options are showing. this could easily be fixed within the plugin to only show when editing a product.

    – I need to limit the list of countries I allow shipping to, can’t seem to find this option

    – my shop page doesn’t display any products although I have created one already and according to the FAQ it HAS a few custom fields.

    – whats up with the users registering? I was looking for this option so that returning users don’t have to enter their details every time. So how does this work? Do I need to customize the wordpress signup myself? Add fields for shipping address, etc?

    – I have a product, available in two lengths. it doesn’t always update the price when I select a different length. its quite random ??

    – the widget that shows products, should have an option to show random products. right now it is showing the latest products.

    Please help me out here.

    This is that way because we launched before custom post types were available and some people still use posts/pages to create products.

    This is currently not something you can easily change as an ‘option’. You can currently either edit the code yourself, or use this premium addon: https://dukapress.com/products/shipping-pro/

    It is really hard to help you on this without a link to your site/page. It should work.

    I think on the Login fields, there is a register link? But I do agree that the UI could be better!
