In an attempt to solve another issue, I recently clicked the ?Rescan local folder for new backup sets? and the ?Rescan remote storage? links.

Today, I realise that I don’t see a 2-digit number of backup sets (as I would suspect based on my automatic backup settings), but a 4-digit number.

And if I try to rescan the remote storage now, I get the following warning:

Warning: if you continue, you will add all backups stored in the configured remote storage directory (whichever site they were created by).

Therefore, I suspect that UpdraftPlus has kind of lost the information which backup set on my remote storage (Google Drive) belongs to which websites – which makes the whole backup useless.

    What is going on here?

    Hi,

Once you press this button, you see every backup from every site. There is no way to “un-see” this.

As a general rule, the backups with the option to “view log” are the ones from that particular site.

Well, that’s an unpleasant surprise! But thank you for clarifying and for the workaround.
