Associating username with listing

  • Hi there.. I have been using this directory for a long time and now am trying to allow the members to edit their own listings.. I also want people to be able to register but nothing seems to be working right.
    I imported all my users into the site.. and gave them directory permission..
    I have all my members on the directory.. but they cannot manage their accounts even when if logged into the account.. please help!!! This is driving me a bit crazy.
    I also want people to be able to pay when they register for the directory but don’t see any way for this to happen.. it all seems so disjointed right now and I need it to flow nicely.. Thanks so much.

    I’m sorry you are having trouble with our plugin. Please make sure the following settings are correct in your site:

    1. Dashboard >> Settings >> General: Memebrship > Anyone can register (checked)
    2. Dashboard >> Directory >> Settings >> General: Public Submissions (Yes)
    3. Dahsboard >> Users: Make sure that each user account has the user role set to “Directory Contributor” (Don’t change Admin users)

    Also, check the individual listings in your directory to make sure they are assigned the correct Owner/User. You may need to enable the Owner dialog by checking the “Screen Options” at the top right of the Post Editor and make sure that “Owner” is checked. User accounts must have the role of “Directory Contributor” in order to have access to the edit functions of the plugin.

    Hi, ok all the other settings are ok except when I go to the directory listings and check owner/user… the only user I can associate the listings with is myself? I do not see any of the directory contributor users?
    I also do not have any other directory plugins installed. I do have an events calendar though?

    I disabled the events calendar and it did not make any difference so still need assistance as to why I cannot assign directory contributors to their listings. Thanks

    Please update LDD directory plugin and you will be able to assign directory contributor users to listings. Directory contributor can currently edit their listing on front end manage listing. payment for registration is not supported by our plugin but we can look into this option. we would love to help you if you have any other issue.
