Assistance taking over a site

Hi There,

Usually most webhosts like Godaddy or hostgator have mechanisms that can help with installing WordPress. Are you hosting with a company like that?

I have taken over updating a site for a new client.

I think the site is already installed & running.

This client is hosted with godaddy and the site is there. I just do not understand how to see or enven access the administration panel or where it is located.

Where yourwebsiteurl is YOUR SITE domain addy

you should of been given the wp login name and password

That will or should get you to the Dashboard.

I tried and it does not recognize anything I try to do.

Okay. Take a deep breath and think about it for a minute. What is the address of YOUR site? The one you are taking over? What is YOUR domain name? Try using the address for YOUR site, followed by /wp-admin, or /wp-login.php

[edit] Hint:

I can login to the server fine.

Probably the same domain name you used to reach the ftp account.
