Assistance Needed with Syncing Custom WooCommerce Translation File

    I am encountering an issue with syncing my custom woocommerce-fr_FR.po file, which is located in a custom directory. Despite making modifications to translations and saving them, the sync does not appear to work, and none of the changes are retained.

    Here is some additional context:

    • I created the custom .po file by copying it from the system file.
    • The website also uses WPML, so I initially suspected that it might be causing a conflict. To troubleshoot, I deactivated WPML entirely and attempted to sync the file again, but the issue persisted.

    Given that I am experiencing difficulties with translating certain WooCommerce strings, I believe this sync issue might be the root cause.

    Could you please help me investigate why the synchronization isn’t working and suggest any potential solutions?

    I think you may misunderstand what “Sync” does. It should probably me called “Merge”, but what it doesn’t mean is “Apply changes to my website”. See the documentation.

    If you can edit strings and save them ini the editor, then Loco Translate has done its job. Problems displaying translations are beyond the scope of support. See the pinned post.
