Assinging jobs to a user via broadbean

Been trying to get the <job_author></job_author> field to work but not how to get it to assign a job post to a user. Tried using usernames / emails. The example XML seem to use a numeric value but e.g. 1 but I cannot see an unique number ID assigned to a user.
