Assignment plugin translation not showing on site

I’ve translated a number of the assignment sentences/words using loco translate but they’re not showing up on the assignment pages for my students. I’ve done exactly the same with the main Learnpress plugin and those translations show up.

The translation .mo and .po files are in this folder

…/wp-content/plugins/learnpress-assignments/languages/

Troubleshooting

• logged out/in as a student to check for new language updates
• cleared cache of browser
• tried different browsers

What might be causing this issue, please?
