I am working to set up Hueman on my development site “https://test.lifevibrant.com”. I am unable to figure out how to place posts in pages. The idea is to put Menus/pages, say in the ‘topbar’, and have that page/menu its own associated posts.

Very much like Alex demo site (https://demo.alxmedia.se/hueman) . For example, in that demo site’s header there is a menu link ‘Food’. ‘Food’ has its own posts and sidebars.

I have tried many different way, but none is working right.

Any help this regard is greatly appreciated.

    Thank you.

  • The menu item “food” is the category assigned to the related posts that you see in the demo you just add the category to the menu then assign the menu a location. The page containing the posts is a “category archive” page.

To get different sidebars per category, page or post you have to create them in your themes options panel, theme options> sidebars> add new. Once you have created your sidebars they will show up under “widgets” at which point you can add what ever you want to them and then assign your sidebars either globally or on a per page basis.

    Beefstick,

Thanks a bundle. It was so intuitive, and sort of ‘on your face’ that I conveniently (!) kept on missing the obvious. I followed your instructions, and it did set up the posts the way it should – perfect.

I will try the “sidebar’ method later on. I believe it will also work without any hitch.

Hueman is a great theme – Alex deserves a lot of thanks for a great work.

Thank you again for a very concise advice and a fast response to my query.
