Assigning Bulk Optimized Images

  • Hi – Really great plugin. It has optimized almost 5000 images on my site and is now optimising new ones that are added, but I am not sure if I have missed something.

    It appears all of the existing images (uploaded and assigned to pages and posts before I installed resmushit and did a bulk optimize) are pulling the original, un-optimized images.

    If I go back and delete an image from a post and then assign it again from the media library it uses the new optimized image.

    So, although all of the uploaded images are optimised it appears they are not being used by the existing pages & posts. I was not expecting to have to re-assign all of the images.

    Am I missing something here? Thanks JJ

    Hi Jarstan,

    Thanks for using our plugin ??
    Not sure I understood your issue, but :
    – reSmush.it plugin will analyze all attachments referenced in the database and will optimize them
    – it depends how are built your posts, if it’s based on classical media attachment, it should work
    – maybe you have a cache system which returns the original picture ?
