• When I assign a category to the front page slider, for some reason I am no longer able to view that category’s archive. The page returns a no results found message. When I remove the category from the slider, the archive page works normally.

I don’t have a fix for the problem, but just want to say I am experiencing this too. You can make a separate category for slider as recommended for a work around, which does work although not ideal.

    Hi @kionae and @hthrnnclrk

When a post category is assigned to the Default Slider it gets filtered from the blog which is why you’re seeing the No Results page when you try to access the category. Unfortunately this means that the post categories can’t be shared between the slider and the blog. I would recommend creating a dedicated slider post category as @hthrnnclrk suggested, such as “Slider”.
