Assign User to Group Hook or Action?

  • Hello,

    I am trying to setup a scenario where a user logs in and based on their email address domain they are assigned to a particular user group. I don’t want to assign them a role. Just to a UAM group.

    I have this mostly working but just need a little information if there is a hook or action to assign the user to a group and save.

    Just trying to find a little help to get this finished up. Thanks!

  • I have similar issues I believe. I have created two user groups. When creating a user, you are given the option to tick which group you would like the user to access. Save, login with the user and still can’t do anything on the user that this user is suppose to. (Only edit certain pages and posts assigned to this group etc).
    Login as admin and scope out the user and it literally added the user to both groups even though only one group was ticked for the user. Which means I have two users and they can delete each other’s posts and pages or I can put on hectic restrict with other plugins and both users are stuck with only posting new pages and posts. I have surfed the web for answers but received none. Can anyone please help?
