• I’ve seen people use Custom Fields to have an image attached to every post. What I want is something similar but I want to know if in my templates I can use some code (or loop or whatever) that will automatically insert the image to be used by categories. For example, I have a WordPress Logo to be used next to every post that is WordPress-related. Is there a way to do this or do I have to stick with the custom field technique?

Also, if possible, is there a way to make the image alternate? Like in comments where you use the normal comment style and the alt to make every other comment different and stuff like that. But all I want is for to image to alternate the side it’s on.

  • I use a “class” identifier in the Stylesheet to add images to links. I guess you can do something similar to assign images to categories.

So…maybe I’d have to use a conditional tag for it. Let me search for that and see if ti works.

I’m going to use the custom field but still

Is there a way to have a excerpts on front page have the effect odd comments can have? Instead of alternating colors I want to alternate image position. Is it possible?
