Assign categories to page

    Hello,
    I am having trouble assigning some categories to a page. I tried 2 plugins one of them displays the new page with the posts arranged ugly, as a list and the other one displays the posts with the text without pauses.
    On another blog using another theme I have the posibility of assigning categories ids to a page and it show up well. Is there a plugin that can allow me to do that?
