    Hello,

    Is there a way to assign a license to activate a domain / IP address that is only valid for it?

  • Hello @flxshcoding,

    sorry for the late reply, I am currently on vacation.

    Currently this is not possible, I will add this feature to the backlog as a feature request.

    just give us a field to manually assign, IP’s MAC Address etc. this is like the most important feature of any license management system ??

    @quin0r, @flxshcoding

    will do!

    Just to better understand: License keys can then only be activated from the entered IP address?

    @drazenbebic

    Just let us add a optional string parameter when activating a license for the first time.

    When checking for a license key, the parameter saved on the server also has to be the same as provided by the check call, otherwise the license check is not valid.

    This would be an amazing feature many users would need for implementing more security in desktop apps.
    Also: let us disable license deactivate calls completely since it can be abused for desktop apps.

    I would need this feature so badly right now, really hoping for an update.

    Danke schonmal ??

    @quin0r, @flxshcoding,

    I will most definitely add this feature, however it will not be included in the 1.3 update. I will probably implement it rather sooner afterwards, as I have quite a bit of work in my backlog already.

    Please be patient ??

    Hello @quin0r,

    I will soon start implementing this feature and would like to talk more about it, just to make sure that I fully understand it.

    I would ask of you to write me an email to [email protected], or we can discuss this directly here in the forum if you like.

    The first question I have:

    The license keys will have an IP/MAC address or domain attached to it. When activating a license key, the plugin needs to check if the the license key stored in the database matches… what exactly?

    Do I extract the IP/MAC/Domain from the API request, or is it also provided as a parameter inside the request? The latter doesn’t make much sense to me.

    I would like if you could explain this a bit better for me to understand ??
