Hi, I noticed that the plugin conflicts with the Gutenberg columns, and when activated they don’t work. I’m using them in the article mentioned already, and when aligning 2 images side to side, they are not shown properly when the plugin is on.
I’m 100% sure is the Asset Clean up create the conflict because I deactivated all the other plugins one by one and none of them made any difference.
    Can you please help?

@klelia thank you for letting me about a potential bug! I want to help you out. However, in order to debug this, I have to access the page as if Asset CleanUp is enabled. The best way to do this is for you to re-enable the plugin in “Test Mode” so your visitors won’t be affected by any changes applied and I can bypass it via /?wpacu_skip_test_mode so I could view the page with the changes applied and I could notice the images that aren’t properly aligned.

Let me know once you do this and I could start doing some debugging! Looking forward to your reply!

Hi Gabe, thanks for your reply. Maybe it’s a basic question but how can I re-enable the plugin using test mode? Thanks again. I didnt install the plugin myself but an IT guy that was helping me a while ago to speed up my website.
    Cheers

@klelia after you activate the plugin back as you would do with any other plugin (e.g. from the “Plugins” page), go to the plugin’s “Settings” -> “Test Mode” and make sure “Enable Test Mode?” is turned on ??

Hi I put the test mode on but I see that the columns are not working (I checked on this article https://www.keepcalmandtravel.com/visit-slovenia-itinerary-1-week-by-campervan/), the 2 images that were supposed to be side by side at the beginning after the first picture of the post are now one on top of the other.

Can you let me know what the issue is asap?
    Thanks! Clelia

@klelia thanks for enabling “Test Mode”. Don’t worry, any wrong changes will be visible only to you, the admin, not your visitors (who will access the website without the pictures on top of another).

I checked the URL you mentioned and I managed to skip test mode by appending /?wpacu_skip_test_mode to the URL. Then, I loaded one file that seemed to be missed, which is “wp-block-library”. What you’ve done was unloading Gutenberg editor when in fact it’s needed at least on the articles from your website.

Here’s the debugging URL that you can access and you can see the images are showing okay now: https://www.keepcalmandtravel.com/visit-slovenia-itinerary-1-week-by-campervan/?wpacu_skip_test_mode&wpacu_load_css=wp-block-library

Please check this print screen – https://i.ibb.co/yNGVT9h/Screenshot-2021-01-28-at-14-21-23.jpg – showing you the console with CSS that is used from the WordPress core file: /wp-includes/css/dist/block-library/style.min.css?ver=5.6

As I found out what the problem is, I’ll mark this topic as “resolved”. As a reminder, you can check the following post for information about how you can check if a CSS file is needed or not: https://www.assetcleanup.com/docs/how-to-check-if-gutenberg-blocks-css-file-is-needed-or-not/

Let me know if you have further questions at your earliest convenience!
