Askimet and the key

  • Hi I thought I had posted this but cannot find it in the list. I am using WP for my blog and want to add Askimet but cannot find my API key. Is there any way of getting it back? I cannot just register again as they say that the key is non transferable. Any suggestions?

  • (1): Go register for a blog at wordpress.com

    (2): Once registered, login to the blog

    (3): Click on ‘dashboard’

    (4): Users -> your profile and the API key is located at the top of this page. Copy this key and paste it into the Akismet.

    Also, when I signed up for a wordpress.com blog and recieved my welcome e-mail, the API key was at the bottom of the e-mail.
