    Hello,
I created a table that has about 250 rows and 1 column. I wanted to use table press is so that the site will only display 20 items at a time rather than the full 250. The problem that I am having is that Table Press put my table in alphabetical order (or the reverse) automatically. I want the table to appear in the order that I created it. When I turn the sort option off, the table does not go back to the original state that it was created in. Is there anything that I can do?
    Thanks, Elaine

    Hi,

thanks for your post, and sorry for the trouble.

I have a feeling what could be wrong here. Can you please post a link to the page with the table where this problem happens, so that I can take a direct look? Thanks!

And just to confirm: The table does have the desired order on the “Edit” screen? It’s just not correct on the frontend?

    Regards,
    Tobias

    Hi Tobias,
This is where the form is (above) and the order has been changed in the “Edit” screen as well, which makes no sense to me at all.

I wonder if the ascending/descending function can be reversed.

    Thank you,
    Elaine

    Hi Elaine,

that link won’t work, unfortunately, as it can be used only by logged-in users of your site, who are allowed to edit the table.

Now, I’m afraid that, if the order has been changed on the “Edit” as well, you or someone else has sorted the table there and then saved the sorted order. If your site is configured to store “revisions”, we might be lucky and get retrieve the unsorted version of the table from that.
If possible, I’d like to take a direct look at this on your site. Could you therefore please create a temporary admin account for me and send me the details via email (the address is in the main plugin file “tablepress.php”)? That way, I can investigate this directly. Thanks!

    Regards,
    Tobias
