705 MB of diskspace will be processed.

Are you on a Shared server by chance?

I think gresham is a shared server. yes.

    Zip file created: [redacted].com/2016-07-28-075923.zip (672 MB) .

So THAT is why it’s probably not happy. 672 megs is a large file to upload to the cloud, and on your shared server you’re going to run into processing issues. That is, your upload takes up too much of the processes and gets killed.

Can you try JUST a database backup? See if that works?

    Just DB backup does work

    Got a few of those

Then it;s the disksize, for sure ??

I checked your server, and if it’s the domain that matches this username, then you have 200+ megs in a backup folder for wpbackitup that should be deleted (it’s in wp-content). That would probably clear it up enough,

Well, you’re correct about the domain and I did delete the old data. Size is much reduced but the result is unchanged.

This is where the log has been for about half an hour now.

This sounds like timeouts. You may need to ask tech support if procwatch is killing things. On a non-busy box, I was able to get up to 700 megs going, but it was always spotty on busy boxes. Asking PHP to keep churning like that is tricky :/
