As on the front page, display posts of only one category

I want to display posts from one category on my home page.
Now i can’t. Because if i create news section whith latest posts, returns to me all available posts.
It is possible to exclude categories that I do not want to display on the main page?
Or such a solution that indicates the categories that can be displayed.
I have a free version of the template. I am interested in a solution without plugins.

If you want to utilize that via the widgets then, within the widgets section, you can choose to display the posts of specific category of your choice. However, if that is to be used within different widgets then, the posts do repeat and excluding the category is not possible.
