Articles Not Showing In GN Feed

I’m not sure, but it looks like you have your categories set up in a way that’s not quite standard, but I’ve been experimenting and these look correct:

https://news.muscleupmommy.com/category/news/latest-news/feed/gn/

https://news.muscleupmommy.com/category/motherhood/parenting/feed/

https://news.muscleupmommy.com/category/featured/feed/gn/

The life & style section… according to the source code on that section, it’s the same as the articles you have listed on the news.muscleupmommy.com home page. If that’s correct, it would be:

https://news.muscleupmommy.com/feed/gn/

Now…. a complicating factor… there is an issue on Google’s end right now that causes that ‘no items to show’ error even though the feeds are working correctly. This has affected feeds from a variety of publishers, some using GN Publisher, others not.

This issue has gone on for a couple of months now with no resolution. I’ll be meeting with some of the Google News staff and discussing this with them next week.

All that to say, if you are using the urls above and things aren’t working, you are probably being affected by whatever this issue is,

Yes, I’m using those URLs from above and they are listed on google news correctly.

I must be getting the tail end of the issue that’s happening with google. Please keep us updated as I’d liked to get this fixed as soon as possible.

Oh, quick question – if you go to your Publisher Center, in the preview pane, are your articles posted there?

If they are, that’s a sure sign this is on Google’s end. As that indicates Google is able to crawl them correctly and has them,

Yes, the articles show in the preview pane and listed from the feed URL. They just aren’t showing in google. Otherwise, I can see them previewed and listed, just not published though the site is showing Live.

The message I see when ‘testing’ the publication is “no items to show.”

If you wouldn’t mind me using your Publication as a good example of the problem in my meeting next week, would you mind sending me an email so we can coordinate that a bit?

Yeah same here, i used GN Publisher on my other blog since long time ago and works fine. But in my new blog https://poster.co.id in The google news feed always said a message “no articles to show” and can’t find the solution. I think there is a problem from the Google News technical side

Yep, me and the other Google News Product Experts on the Publisher Center forum are still pushing Google for a fix/clarification/explanation on this issue,

Hi Tipblogg,

It looks like you are using a plugin to remove the /category/ part of category urls. That tends to cause in issue with GN Publisher. I’m sure there will be a fix out for that in a future version.

For now though, you can use the ‘ugly’ url instead. In your Publisher Center, just use: https://tipblogg.com/?feed=gn&category=business You can change the category name as needed for other categories.
