Everything used to work fine. Ive updated to 1.1.4 and my PHP and MySQL are current, but when I write a new article it doesn’t post automatically even though the settings say it should post automatically. I am getting no errors when I publish an article or when I check the listing of articles.

My last article won’t post and the previous article which I previously deleted I tried to manually post, but that still doesn’t work. I removed the apple_news_api_pending metadata and still nothing happens.

I do have one entry that for some reason says FAILED PROCESSING UPDATE, but I haven’t been able to find out info on that.

I’ll contact them then. Oddly enough I saw someone else mention that they had the same problem after being able to post around March 16th of this year. That’s when the problem started happening with me so there might be a problem with a possible PHP update that happened around that time.

Do you have a link to that comment?

My last article published 3/21/2016 like this article notes. https://wptavern.com/my-apple-news-publisher-experience-three-weeks-later

My host said they aren’t seeing any errors on their end. Even when it was working though I never received any emails.

Do you receive emails from any other plugins or from WordPress core itself when you create new users? Sounds like your host might not have email configured properly.

I don’t have any reason to create new users, but I do get an email when WordPress updates.

I’m home now and I tried to preview a post in New Preview, but after downloading the article New Preview doesn’t recognize the file “article-5355.json”

Rename the file to article.json and if there are images, please download them and place them in a folder with the json file and drag the entire folder into the News Preview tool.

Here’s what News Preview gave me from the error log:

Looks like an issue with News Preview accessing your images. Can you provide a link to the article in question here?

Looks like a conflict with the Justified Image Grid plugin that you’re using. Unfortunately, we don’t support conflicts with third party plugins so you’ll have to reach out to that plugin’s author if you’d like to continue using it.

    Thread Starter saundhaus

    (@saundhaus)

Ah. Thank you. Do you have anything more with the conflict I could tell them?

I disabled the Justified Image Grid AND the NextGen plug in and that didn’t fix anything. Just an FYI
