Articles in featured content don't appear on home page index

An advice in case someone who manages the official theme happens to read this: it would be nice to be able to set this behavior in the theme options…

PS. An alternative to a child theme could be an incredibly small plugin…

Been wanting to incorporate that feature in Fourteen Extended plugin but my remove_action wasn’t working – now I see where I was going wrong ??

Option added as of version 1.1.3 which has just gone live.

Let me know in the plugin forum if there are any kinks that need ironing out.
