    Hello,

Thank you for the great plugin.
I have Social Articles installed with BuddyPress, normaly all users in their BuddyPress profile have “my Articles” tab with editing, writing new etc:::
With few last updates of Social Articles, WordPress I have noticed that only website admin may see Articles tab in BuddyPress, for all Sibscriber role users, Articles tab has just disappeared from BP tabs.

Is it due to last Soacial Articles update and this became a premium feature limitation ? or something has changed in configurations ? Where I may set that all “Subscribers” see the Articles tab in BP ?

    Thanks in advance,
    Mel

    Hi Melanie, how are you?
It was a change that we made a lot of versions ago. Only Admins, editors, authors and collaborators can create articles. We made that change to respect the same capabilities than WP back-end.
You should change the user role of yours members.
Let me know if you need help.

    Thanks for using social articles!

    Hello,

Thank you for the answer. When the webside was on maintenance mode all articles were written by admin, and once the website is online I could see that subscribers profile have no this ability. On my website all readers/users can contribute/write a news, I can’t change their roles.
So I need a solution, could you indicate the file in you plugin I may modify the Capability that subscribers may submit/see in BP profiles articles OR is the purchasing the Premium version of your plugin have this solution?

Thank you in advance for help,
    Mel

Hi Mel! You can change your users rol from WP backend. You have the option to make a rol bulk change. Then you have to set the default role for new users. Please, send me an email to our support address and i will be glad to help you! ( dev_at_broobe.com)

    Thanks!

    Hello,

Thank you for the help, I know how to change roles, but I don’t want to do that, as I will have to revise capabilities for the new applied to users role for another plugins on the website.
My question was in which file to change the role, as all other features of the free plugin are good for me. I see the premium version will solve the question. Thank you for the nice plugin.

    Kind regards,
    Mel
