Article Inserts into Posts

I am curious to know if there is a plugin or a way to take a link from a non-wordpress web site and post excepts and a link inside a wordpress post. Also, are there any plugins that can link wordpress.com blogs to a stand-alone wordpress blog? Thanks in advance.
