    Hi Alan,

Please try editing the toggle block in the theme editor and specify a label there.

Edit the block in the theme editor? Is that were the megamenu code is? No, the code I am referring to is in line 68 of the megamenu plugin’s toggle-block.class.php file.

Rather than me editing your plugin’s code which will be overwritten with the next plugin update, you guy should consider adding this little detail which will improve the core web vitas of every site that uses the plugin.

    Hi Alan,

If you are using the standard toggle block (which it appears you are based on the line you have suggested editing), then it is output as a span element that contains the text that you have specified in the “open/closed” text field in the toggle block settings. This is what screen readers will read out, so I don’t think there is a need for an additional label element here.

If you have removed the open/closed text, and just want to show the icon, then it would be better to replace your menu toggle block with a Menu Toggle (Advanced) block. This is a CSS3 animated toggle icon, and given there is no option to add text alongside it, it will show you a field where you can specify the aria-label.

    Regards,

    Tom
