Are you sure you want to do this – error?
-
Hello,
I have a strange problem with a new website i’m building.
I’ve created it completed in english (what is the second language of the website) and now I want it translate to dutch (with the WPML plugin).
But when I create an translation (thru the plus icon) I’m redirected the the new page and can start to edit. Then I want to copy all the contents of the english version what works as expected.
But then when I hit publish I get an error saying: Are you sure you want to do this? Please try again.
If I hit try again I just go back the general posts sections (instead of the page where I originally was).
When I go back to the pages section I won’t see the translated page, there is still a plus sign to add a translation. But the total counts of the page is incorrect. I have 18 pages, but It would say that the total is 19. So I started looking in the mysql database and found the translated page.
So it is in the database but not visible in the backend of WordPress (expect for the total pages counter).
Even when I just try to publish a new page I get the same error. So I went to google and found the following solutions, none of them worked.
– increase the memory and post size, etc from the server.
– Deactivate all the plugins (didn’t deactivate all of the, kept the necessary plugins like WPML)
– Update theme to the latest version (i’m using the Jupiter theme (from themeforest)
– Remove the auth keys from wp-config.php
– Reupload all the standard WordPress filesI also created a full backup thru the duplicator plugin and installed it elsewhere but the problem stays the same (it probably copies the error with it)
Do you guys have any idea?
