Are you sure you want to do this?

  • I recently switched to wpengine for hosting and have cloudflare enabled. Ever since then I can’t switch users. When I try I get an error that says Are you sure you want to do this? . The host is asking if there are any cookies that they can exclude from caching to make it work again. Any ideas?

    The error message you’re seeing is due to an invalid nonce and isn’t related to cookies. I’ve no idea what would cause this, other than maybe WPEngine are using a custom login script that isn’t set up to handle custom actions on the login screen.

    I tried disabling/enabling all plugins and found that if I disable the ‘theme my login’ plugin, then the user switching works. I really would like the theme my login plugin though. I’ve used them together for a long time so it’s strange that they are a problem now. Any ideas on how I could use them both together?

    I’ve just been testing the Theme My Login plugin with User Switching and switching users is working as expected.

    Which TML modules do you have enabled?
