Are WordPress Comments Anonymous?

Just curious to know how “Anonymous” WordPress comments are.

Are company is using WordPress internally as a means of allowing people to express themselves freely about problems within the company… by posint anonymous commments.

I’m just curious, are these really anonymous? Or can they trace an ip to an anonymous comment and trace the comment back to me?
