Are there plugins for a site likeTripadvisor but for event venues?

  • We’ve had a request to look into developing a website for which we are wondering to what extent it could be developed using Word Press.

    We’d be grateful if anyone could advise which of the following elements could be handled by WordPress.

    Feedback appreciated.

    A “Tripadvisor” for event venues

    – Content-led business listing/directory site

    – Content is user-generated and updated automatically – via login areas for venues/suppliers and ‘venue users’

    – Venue/supplier popularity index voted on by ‘venue user’ members

    – each venue/supplier given review and graded between 1-5 by reviewer this generates an average score by venue on which their order is based the order is recalculated every week based on new reviews and re-posted on the site:

    – User Generated Content, which could also include photos and video (via YouTube link)(?)

    – Geographical context – venues categorized by county as well as city ; suppliers national listing

    – ability for venues & suppliers to edit their details via a login area

    members must give email addresses

    Can reviews will have IP address attached to them to help protect credibility?

    – Connect with profiles on Facebook, Flickr and twitter

    – Forums and discussion groups by topic, user generated

    – Sending out monthly newsletters with local area update
