Are there any benefits when I have Pro plan turned on?

  • Hi,

    As in the subject line – would there be any benefits when I already have pro plan and install it?

    I am asking in terms of side speed – would there be an improvement or it is just a good option for the free version?

    Hi @piotrk87,
    A CF Pro plan will always help you a lot as with Pro plan you get unlimited image optimization on the fly at with the next-gen image format. Then you also get Web Application Firewall (WAF) for strengthening your security. The image optimization alone will help a lot. The plugin has been created to ensure you can take the full advantage of the CF Free plan, but that doesn’t mean that you cannot take advantage of the features given in Pro plan.

    In the plugin description there is a lot about improving functionality for Cloudflare’s free plan, not sure if it helps with the pro one?

    By plugin you mean this plugin or the official plugin? If you mean this plugin then definitely YES as it will be made sure your pages are cached at CDN edges (something you can’t do with just Pro plan). If you mean the official cloudflare plugin then no, you don’t need that.

    Defintely. The CDN + disk-level caching will give a huge speed boost and lower TTFB.

    – Please note that the CF Pro nothing different than a free plan. With pro plan you just unlocks some extra features i.e. WAF, Image Compression, Web Analytics, Cache Analytics etc. But the core logic which applies to the free plan, applies to all CF plans, not just Pro.

    What about Argo service in Cloudflare? Any point in activating if I am using your plugin?
