Are there any backlinks to oceanwp.org or other URLs hidden in Oceanwp theme?

    Hello, I am new to WordPress and I am currently looking for a great theme for my business website but because I do not have web-hosting yet nor a local WordPress installed, I have no way to test the OceanWP theme myself.

    I read somewhere that many free themes have links to the developer’s own website that may be either part of the footer or possibly hidden deep inside the code and that these backlinks could negatively affect SEO by passing some “link juice” on to the developer’s website.

    Apparently, this is one of the main difference between a free theme and a premium theme.

    I know that OceanWP has a different business model where the theme is free but that it is possible to purchase some premium extensions and because of this, perhaps, OceanWP can be considered somewhat of a premium theme, but the question remains:

    Are there any backlinks included anywhere in this theme and if so, where are these links and what URLs do they point to.

    OceanWP looks like a great theme and I sure hope that it does not contain any backlinks at all, but if it does, unfortunately, I will not be using this theme.

    Any help would be much appreciated.

    Thanks for the info! I appreciate your fast reply and I’m glad that OceanWP does not have any backlinks. By the way, congrats! OceanWP looks awesome. Looking forward to give it a try for my website https://doggroomingottawa.ca (speaking of backlinks, I thought I’d throw one in here, assuming this is allowed)
