    Hi Tom,
A friend of mine uses the GP Premium theme and he’s using one of the themes from the site library. I too plan to purchase the GP Premium theme but I have only 1 concern.

I really like the design of the “volume” theme by “flint skin”.

I wanted to know whether or not the code in those themes is as optimised as the main GP theme or not? Do they go through the same process of testing?

I am currently using TagDiv’s Newspaper theme and plan to move to GP Premium if you can assure me better performance if I use the “volume” theme from GP Premium’s Site library.

    Thank you!

    Hi there,

The site library templates aren’t actually special “themes” – they are all created using GeneratePress themes, GP Premium plugin plus some other plugins (if required) and CSS.

In the case of Volume, there are no additional plugins needed. Just some custom CSS and functions inserted using hooks.

Let me know if this helps ??

Thanks for the clarification, Leo! ??
I would like to know whether or not the custom CSS and functions in Volume have gone through any process of evaluation by the GP team, to assure efficient and best code quality?

    Thank you!

    Of course ??

Flint Skin is actually David from our GP team and he is the master of CSS and custom solutions like Volume.

    ??

@heyanirban I was also using Newspaper before I moved to GP. Best decision I made. After moving themes, make sure your content is not full of newspaper theme’s shortcodes, especially if you used versions 7 and below.
