• I have been using and designing with CPTs forever.. from ACF to PODS to custom registering them .. I’m familiar..

    My question is … for basic things like a regular blog is there any reason or SEO benefit to me using the native posts feature installed with WordPress vs me creating a CPT with Custom Taxonomies of tags and categories and using that ?

    Am I missing something ? Am I killing my sites’ “SEO Juice” by not using the built in blog and building one off CPTs instead ?

    Curious …

  • If you’re website structure remains simple enough for visitors to navigate easily, and the permalinks of those posts aren’t too long, it shouldn’t affect your SEO negatively.
