    Hi, presale question here.

I have an online magazine, with lots of daily news, therefore with many authors. Since i don’t want authors to add keywords while they publish posts, is there an automatic way to add keywords? Or do i really need to add keywords?

I really like yoast SEO and i plan to buy the premium one, but i really don’t want to get authors into adding keywords, are they really necessary?

  • Hi @mikedev16,

Do you mean meta keywords? If so, read this:

@mikedev16 Whereas there is not an automated way to add focus keywords to your page/post, but if you wish to remove the focus keyword tab for the author you can do so. To disable the keyword tab you would just need to log in as the author and go to Users>Your Profile and check the ‘Disable SEO Analysis’ checkbox under ‘Yoast SEO Settings’ and click ‘Update Profile.’

Thank you for the reply. I also asked if this focus keywords are necessary. Are they? By disabling, do i lose power on SEO side?

    Thank you again

Focus keywords are very important part of Yoast SEO as this is the keywords that you’d want to get rank for and optimize your content for so you can find your site in the search results for that particular keywords.
