Archiving – Possible In WordPress?

  • Just a question re: archiving. Our site is quite large in size which causes it to load slowly & a lot of the time be a general pain when trying to post etc. We know it’s possible to create an archive page that is a reference point for finding posts by year etc but were wondering, if it is possible to actually archive part our content (example years 2009 & 2010) so it frees up space from our site – if that makes sense LOL.

    Any help would be much appreciate ??

  • Couldn’t you create a separate WordPress installation in a subfolder on your server, and move some of your content over?
