Archiving a WP 2.7.1 site

Client has an old WP 2.7.1 site, and wants to archive the old site before we do a complete wipe and upgrade.

I usually do a quick load of Backup Buddy to capture the full backup with database, then I archive the file to a local server.

Well, it looks like Backup Buddy doesn’t work with WP 2.7.1.

I can capture the file structure via ftp, but does anyone have any idea what I can use to capture and archive the database end of things? Would using an MySQL tool from cPanel work?

I just want to make sure I get everything captured before I clean everything out.
