Archives widget not working after permalink change

I have been searching the forum for weeks and cannot find an answer. I recently changed my permalinks from including the date and post name to just including the post name. Now my archives and calendar widgets do not work. Monthly archives redirect to my homepage while clicking dates on my calendar go to my 404 page.

I have disabled the author and date archives in my Yoast SEO plugin, I disabled all my plugins and it still wasn’t working, I switched themes and it is still not working. I used a redirect code generator from Yoast and added the code into my .htaccess file and my links work fine, just not the archives and calendar widgets.

I left my archives and calendar widgets up at the bottom of my sidebar so perhaps if someone was able to take a look they can see what I am looking at. Can anyone help?
