    Hi,
It doesn’t seem clear to me how I get my archive links to work.
I have created a archive page that shows links of all posts by month and day but I do not know how to get these to show the actual records.
I have looked at a lot of wordpress sites and notice that most links seem to go to a pre-defined directory like ‘month’ and ‘day’, but how are these archives created?
A good example is this page: https://www.imagesafari.com/all_archives , as you can see it lists the days and months, but how are the link pages created?
    Can you help please?
    Thanks
    Arpana

Imagesafari uses a hack to get the archives that way. Here is the link to the archives hacks. https://imagesafari.com/hacks/all_archives/

well hell. i can’t edit my previous post because of the anti-spam crap, even after waiting 60 seconds.. anyway.. since the code tag doesn’t work, try this code..

    Hi Jon,
That did the trick! – thanks so much for that I love the way it lists the archive ??
As a matter of interest how do you get those fancy perma links?

I’m using mod_rewrite with apache to get those links.. I had to hack the code anyplace
where it prints out the links, since I decided to use a different scheme from what wordpress allows for search engine friendly urls.
