Archives and calender widget not working after permalink change

I recently changed my permalinks to stop showing the date. It is now just showing the post name. I used the Yoast generated redirect to place a code in my .htaccess file and that seems to be working great on everything except my archives and calender widgets.

My page is https://beautyandthebeets.com I left the calender widget up on the sidebar and there are two posts this month of which one goes to my 404 page and the other goes to an unrelated old post? I also cannot get the calender to scroll to a previous month.

I have deactivated all my plugins and still had a problem. I switched my theme to a default theme and still had a problem. I hve confirmed that I have a mod_rewrite function in my .htaccess file. I have searched these forums for days now and cannot find a solution. The Yoast SEO plugin does not seem to be the culprit as many of the suggestions appear to be to adjust the disable date function. ARGH!!

Is anyone able to help me?
