Archive Widget not working

  • Hello,

    I am using the OceanWP theme, and have added the Archives Widget to the sidebar.
    However, it is not working, and simply refreshes the page each time I select a Month in the widget.

    The Categories widget is working fine, but this one isn’t for some reason?

    I’m not sure where the error is coming from?

    Are you using any SEO plugin? If yes, then try to disable it temporarily and check it works or not.

    Also, try switching the theme temporarily to default wordpress theme like twenty-nineteen to troubleshoot the issue.

    Yes, I’m using Yoast SEO, and once deactivated, Archives now work.

    Do you know if there is a fix for this?

    Is it possible to have Yoast SEO active, and have the archives working correctly?

    Try to check the date archive settings of the Yoast SEO to fix it. Have you reached the Yoast support team about it?

    Hi Amit,

    In the Yoast SEO, under the date archive settings, I changed it from “Disabled” to “Enabled”, and it fixes the archive not loading issue.

    Could you explain to me what this “date archive settings” does?
    Whats the difference from enabling and disabling this setting?
