Archive redirection

Hello, I am trying to redirect all custom post type “event” archive pages to my home page, but without much luck.

Basically I want to redirect mydomain.com/event/page/50

to mydomain.com

Where the number “50” obviously as there are many archive pages.

How would I do this. I tried some regex expressions, but it didn’t work for me.
