Archive page template not showing up….?

  • I am trying to figure out how to add an archive page template to a child theme. I created the archive page template, and added it to the parent theme (and also tried to add it to the child theme.) When I add a new page, the archive page does not show up. The only thing I see is “default,” “full-width” and “sitemap” (which is grayed out.)

    Any ideas what is going on? Thanks.
