Archive Listings Page to display results by status in ascending order

I have a site up: https://www.waltonrentalproperties.com/property-types/residential/

I am trying to figure out how to sort the properties on the Archive Listings Page to display results by status in ascending order. I am not very fluent in PHP, but can copy and past code if someone has an idea of what I should do.

Also if you have any clue why it list 10 listings by page rather than an even 12 that would be helpful as well.
