• I have a problem with the arabic letters turn into question marks.

when I send a test email using the “Easy WP SMTP” plugin, I tried to type “?????” as the email title and body.
I got the email title in Arabic as what I typed but not the body of the email !!
the body of the email will be like this:
    ???????????

I hope someone can help me to know what is the problem. thank you

  • It sounds to me like the plugin needs to send the content in UTF-8 charset.

so what should I do ?
the weird thing is that the subject shows the Arabic letters normally without any problem .
the problem is only with the email body .
and it is only the Arabic letters that have the problem. special characters are showing fine.

Hi, I have submitted a message to the developers to investigate further this issue.

    Thank you

    Hi.

I have put the text you provided as email subject and body and it went through just fine.

Can you show the debug log that is shown when you send test email? You need to click “Show Debug Log” and copy it here. Don’t forget to edit out all personal data (email address, website address etc).

    Headers seem valid.

Which email client are you using to view emails?

    I tried gmail/yahoo

I guess the issue might be in your mail server. Looks like you’re using your provider’s mail server. Have you tried to contact them regarding this issue? The log you provided shows that the message goes with valid headers from the site. What happens with it next is up to mail server you’re using.
