    [Facebook] Are you getting one of those errors?

    (#283) Requires extended permission: manage_pages
    (#200) Requires extended permission
    (#200) The user hasn’t authorized the application to perform this action

    SOLUTION:

    Facebook moves EVERYBODY to the API 2.3 on April 30, 2015. If you got one of those errors you were on API 1.0. SNAP Plugin is compatible with API 2.3 ONLY starting from version 3.4.16.

    Please update your plugin to the latest version and re-authorize Facebook.

    PLEASE DO NOT OPEN TICKETS ABOUT THAT. Latest version + re-authorization fixes that issue.

    We got some confirmation from FB.

    It turned out that Facebook broke it’s API for about 80% of all developer accounts.

    We can only wait for them to fix it.

    I am also facing the same issue, waiting from facebook to fix it

    Jody Mitoma said above:
    “I just added the “manage_pages” and another thing to my Facebook API in hopes that this will fix that issue, but it’s a 5 DAY WAIT unfortunately.”

    Where′s that option? I can′t find it.
    Better activate now if there′s a waiting period…can you tell me where it is? Thank you

    @joaomn – See what the author said on the top about 5 days. “DO NOT CONFUSE PEOPLE” – as there is nothing like that which exists.

    Let’s wait and see. This happened before as well to one of my sites I administrate. Was automatically solved in a week.

    Thank you WebDev
    So it′s just a wait and see thing? ??
    I noticed facebook debugger is not working properly either, meaning even manual posts are messed up because of the og:image not displaying correctly.
    Facebook should know better than this, you don′t mess up with a winner team…
    I had scheduled posts for an entire week ahead in all my websites, days of work down the drain ??

    Same problem for me… I recreated an app from scratch but I still have the error…

    I updated this plugin and re-authorized but still getting same error.

    Created new app
    Plugin running on latest version
    Re-authorized app but still
    (#283) Requires extended permission: manage_pages ??

    Why FB why?? you had broke not only old apps new apps also having issue.

    Same Problem. I got this error on send facebook test after re-validation acount:

    Array
    (
    [Warning] =>
    [Error] => (#283) Requires extended permission: manage_pages
    )

    Array ( [Warning] => [Error] => (#283) Requires extended permission: manage_pages )

    ;(

    Same problem here,

    Created new app
    Plugin running on latest version
    Re-authorized app but still report error

    ??

    Add me to the 29 – still not working even after creating a new app.

    I had 3.4.16 version but since this morning (30/04/2015) plugin doesn’t function. I created a new app, but it’s the same. Error description is: “=ERROR=- Array ( [Warning] => [Error] => WP_Error Object ( [errors] => Array ( [http_request_failed] => Array ( [0] => Operation timed out after 5000 milliseconds with 0 bytes received ) ) [error_data] => Array ( ) ) – ERROR(#283) Requires extended permission: manage_pages ) “
    I was so happy about this plugin…..

    I went to the developers.facebook website to check my App. It says I am using API v2.0 and it is Live and Available. Going by the very first post, do I wait for Facebook to move me to 2.3 or should I re-create and see if that solves the issue?

    I tried to re-authorize but it did nothing.

    Glad this is a known issue.

    I found this Dev Site on Facebook So it seems to be getting sorted. You can Subscribe as they may notify you via this thread. I will await SNAP to also see if they get notified.

    Thanks guys.
