Approving users

I looked at the help file after setting ip my forum. I wanted to be able to approve users.

Then I read Foro uses WP registration, but as I have never had registered users, I searched. It seems there is no way to do that.

Do I found this plugin:

Is this the best way? I don’t want unknown people to register for the forum, which is why I do not advertise the address on the site itself but vis a separate mailing list.
